Lesson plan for: Sunday, September 6th, 2026

Our Boulders group—for students entering Grades 5–8 this fall—is starting a new series called Luke — Son of God! This week (September 6th), our lesson focuses on the Big Idea that Jesus is God's greatest promise. Diving into the story of Baby Jesus at the Temple (Luke 2:21-40), students will learn that Jesus is the promised rescuer who was God in the flesh, coming to experience what we experience. They will also discover how God revealed amazing things to people who were committed to Him, such as Simeon and Anna!
