Lesson plan for: Sunday, October 18th, 2026

Our Boulders group—for students entering Grades 5–8 this fall—is continuing our series called Exodus Wilderness! In this series, kids will follow the story of Moses and the Israelites as they roam the wilderness. Along the way, they will discover the truth that God always hears us, helps us live the best way, wants to be close to us, loves us with an unconditional love, and equips us with gifts, skills, and abilities for his great work.

This Sunday (October 18th), our lesson focuses on the Big Idea that God wants to be close to us. Diving into the story of the Tabernacle, the Ark, and the Priests found in Exodus 25-31, students will learn that God loves us so much that he wants to be close to us. They will also discuss how He wants to be the one that we talk to when we are happy or sad or need help!
