Join Our Team: Children’s Ministry Assistant

8-Week Summer Contract

Freshwater Community Church is looking for a passionate, creative Children’s Ministry Assistant to join our team for the summer! If you love working with kids, have a knack for organization, and want to help build a vibrant, fun environment for our families, we want to hear from you.

This role beautifully blends hands-on ministry leadership with exciting, creative back-end projects like environment redesigns and event planning.

What you’ll do:

  • Engage & Lead: Connect with, teach, and support children from age 3 up to grade 7.

  • Creative Special Projects: Help revamp and redesign our ministry spaces to make them even more welcoming.

  • Event Planning: Assist with the coordination, planning, and execution of summer events for our church families.

The Details:

📅 Term: 8-week contract (Starting June 29, 2026)

⏱️ Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (35 hours/week)

💰 Pay: $18.60 / hour

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Meet all Canada Summer Jobs participant criteria.

  • Successfully clear a Vulnerable Sector Check.
