Boulders

Lesson plan for: Sunday, October 4th, 2026

Our Boulders group—for students entering Grades 5–8 this fall—is starting a new series called Exodus Wilderness! In this series, kids will follow the story of Moses and the Israelites as they roam the wilderness. Along the way, they will discover that God always hears us, helps us live the best way, wants to be close to us, and loves us with an unconditional love.

This Sunday (October 4th), our lesson focuses on the Big Idea that God always hears us. Diving into the story of "A Complaining People" (Exodus 16-17:7), students will learn that they are always heard by God when they pray. They will also discuss how, even though His answer might not always be "yes," He does hear them when they pray!
