Lesson plan for: Sunday, October 25th, 2026
Our Boulders group—for students entering Grades 5–8 this fall—is continuing our series called Exodus Wilderness! In this series, kids will follow the story of Moses and the Israelites as they roam the wilderness. Along the way, they will discover the truth that God always hears us, helps us live the best way, wants to be close to us, loves us with an unconditional love, and equips us with gifts, skills, and abilities for his great work.
This Sunday (October 25th), our lesson focuses on the Big Idea that God's love is bigger than our mistakes. Diving into the story of The Golden Calf & Ten Commandments (take two!) found in Exodus 32-34, students will discover that God's love for us is bigger and more powerful than any mistake we could ever make. They will also learn that God's love for us is so amazing that he will forgive us when we mess up!
