Lesson plan for: Sunday, October 25th, 2026
Our Kids Rock group—for students entering Grades 2–4 this fall—is continuing our series called Genesis Relationships! We will look at the story of Jacob to discover how our relationship with God impacts every other relationship in our lives.
This Sunday (October 25th), our lesson explores the story of The Twelve Tribes found in Genesis 35:15-29. Together, children will learn our Big Idea for the week: Everyone has a part to play in God's big story. They will discover that they have a role to play in this story, just like Rachel and the 12 sons of Jacob did—and while their roles may be quite different, they are all part of the exact same story. They will also understand that our identity is made more clear the closer we get to God!
